Garden Luncheon Held at Peter Lehmann Wines for Vintage Festival

A perfectly sunny autumn day set the tone for our Vintage Festival Garden Luncheon within the stunning grounds of Peter Lehmann Wines Cellar Door gardens on Wednesday 27th April 2011.
Guests were greeted on the lawns with glasses of Sparkling Pinot Chardonnay and Eden Valley Riesling, to complement the canapés which included Sorrel Tarts prepared from produce grown in the PLW garden by cook and gardener, Aileen Proudfoot.
Moving on to main course, guests were escorted to the long table set on the island nestled behind the cellar door grounds. Set atop the grassy knoll, the view was a serene setting of vines one side and astonishing landscaped gardens on the other.
The winemaking team (Andrew Wigan, Ian Hongell, Peter Kelly, Tim Dolan and Viticulturalist Nigel Blieschke) hosted the happy group, discussing various elements of each of the wines served throughout the three course lunch. It was a truly special day and one that will invoke fond memories for a long time to come!
